We are excited about the start of digitizing many things. What that initially means is that we will take some written context and make up audio files added to either pictures or videos for presentation.
This will hopefully help those who rather hear and see than just read history.
But digitizing doesn't just mean creating those type of items. It also means working to better archive everything so if we are looking for something of interest we can easily locate it via electronic means.
It also means ensuring we are up to date with our computer programs and apps, etc.
All this takes time and person-power, i.e. volunteers. We are continuously looking for more volunteers and for those who may want to help with the digital work, come join us. If you aren't well versed in it, we will teach and guide you. Just contact us via the contact page.
The Harrah Historical Society of Oklahoma is a 501(c)(3) LLC, established in 1977 and staffed and maintained by volunteers. Funding is dependent on donations and occasional grants.
